WITH ITS TWO departments – DRAMA AND COMEDY – Vaporetto believes in the STORYTELLING power of different genres and is looking to tell short-form and long-form stories that not only entertain but also have a bigger impact on the audience – making people dream, think, change, revolt, or learn something new about the world or themselves.
How it all started
“It all started on a little vaporetto between the Lido island and mainland Venice. It was late at night and we were returning from a party at the Venice Film Festival. A little bit tipsy and rocked by the movement of the waves, an idea emerged. ‘What if we created a badass production company?!’ screamed Tomàs. ‘Abso-fucking-lutely’ replied Anouk with stars in her eyes. And so, a few camparis and discussions later, the adventure started…”
